Account of the ‘50 Years of Nature’s Sunshine’ Gala

Once again, the Nature’s Sunshine community proved that the highlight of the summer calendar is the annual Summer Conference, which this time was a special meeting, as it was also the first highlight in celebrating already 50 years of the company.

Exactly half a century ago, Kristine and Gene Hughes brought Nature’s Sunshine to life – their own idea of a life of health and abundance. 50 years later, people all over the world are using this idea to share their passion and improve their lives. The Hughes family’s idea was brilliant and timeless, as the ‘50 Years of Nature’s Sunshine’ Gala proved.

On a weekend in July, we crowded into the Spodek in Katowice to celebrate a wonderful anniversary – 50 years of wonderful development and positive impact on hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Few companies in the industry can boast such a track record. Few companies are also able to host more than 1,000 guests at a conference in the middle of the holidays. We have succeeded again! Again, our Customers and Distributors showed how important a part of their lives Nature’s Sunshine is.

Two wonderful days filled with excitement and smiles from our guests are behind us. A Saturday full of memories and plans for the future and a Sunday brimming with medical and business knowledge. We record the ‘50 years of Nature’s Sunshine’ Gala on the side of the successes created by our Customers and Distributors. They are the ones who continue the work of our founders, and the July event is a kind of ‘thank you’ towards all our supporters.

The first guests appeared at the Spodek, and we were only 90 minutes away from the start of the gala.

We took off without delay welcoming our guests.

Nature’s Sunshine’s President for the European market, Bryant Yates, was the first to speak. Bryant’s presentation is a nod to the company’s illustrious history, but also a firm focus on the future. The company’s plans look impressive, and the new products are only part of this. Nature’s Sunshine attaches great importance to ecology, to which it subordinates all its activities. The second speaker was the General Manager of the Polish branch of Nature’s Sunshine, Grzegorz Małachowski. In his speech, the Director focused on the company’s history in Poland, but again the plans for the coming months and years resonated most strongly… Among them, a completely new ordering system with a modern ‘Distributor Panel’ giving access to the statistics necessary in the MLM.

During the director’s speech, we extended the recommendation of the Polish Society of Sports Medicine for the Pro Active kit (here), which was signed by the President of the Polish Society of Sports Medicine, Andrzej Bugajski, PhD. We joined the Polish Society of Aromatherapy, which was confirmed by Mr Dariusz Cwajda, Vice President of the Society, with his signature. Director Małachowski also hosted on stage the founder of the Institute of Integrative Medicine, Dr Andrzej Balcerzak and the special guest of our gala, the President of the Polish Direct Selling Association Janusz Potoczny.

We cannot fail to mention as many as three product innovations that went on sale during the director’s presentation. Perfect Eyes (here), Ultra Biome DTX (here) and the limited series of Bremani Care cosmetics (here), which Kamila Kucharska Ambrożej of the Polish Society of Aromatherapy talked about from the stage.

Director Małachowski’s speech was again proof that Nature’s Sunshine in Poland and Europe consistently intends to add great successes to the company’s history.

Time was running inexorably, and we had the most important part of the gala ahead of us – the presentation of awards to the Leaders and Directors present at the event. The Leaders’ lists were exceptionally long this year, and fortunately we were ready to give them the biggest stage in the history of our events. Successively our stage was occupied by:

Best Networkers, Leaders, Assistant Leaders, Leaders-Consultants, Leaders-Managers, Assistant Directors, Directors-Consultants.

Following the awards presentation, we announced the destination and date of the exclusive Top Achiever’s Club trip, which will take place in Tanzania in October. TAC participants received symbolic tickets.

The final conference highlight on Saturday was Nature’s Sunshine’s ‘Millionaires Club’. The club is made up of Distributors who have earned more than PLN 1,000,000 since the beginning of their cooperation with the company. Pictured below are proud club members.

On Saturday, we only had time for fun, and this part of the gala opened with a concert by Studio Buffo, whose artists came to Katowice especially for us to take us on a musical journey around the world. The concert was, of course, conducted by Janusz Józefowicz and, together with the orchestra led by Janusz Stokłosa and the wonderful vocalists headed by Natasza Urbańska, they provided our guests with a wonderful show that will remain in our memories for a long time.

Immediately after the concert, the after party took off, concluding the first day of our anniversary event.

On Sunday, two training blocks were traditionally held: medical and business. The new formula of the medical block, i.e. the ‘medical panel’, performed fantastically, and the specialists present faced questions sent in advance by our Customers and Distributors. Panellists included: Dariusz Włodarek, PhD, from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW), Dr Maciej Materkowski, Andrzej Ziemba, PhD, and Andrzej Bugajski, PhD, of the Polish Society of Sports Medicine, Artur Mamcarz, PhD, from the Medical University of Warsaw, and Dr Andrzej Balcerzak from Integmed.

The stage also hosted Dariusz Cwajda from the Polish Society of Allergology, who announced the aromatherapy training planned for the autumn. Complementing this part of the event were expert lectures on new products given by representatives from The Hughes Center for Research and Innovation.

The business part of Sunday’s conference featured 15-minute speeches by our top Distributors, who revealed their own secrets of success to those gathered in the Spodek in Katowice. All the speakers are to be commended for their knowledge, their skilful use of this knowledge and their imparting of it to our guests. The business block consists of speeches by Directors-Managers: Marek Kacperowski, Karol Stemplewski, Marian Pietkiewicz, Teodor Małek and Board Member Marek Wierbiłowicz.

Our meeting was drawing to a close, but we could not fail to honour our directors who make a special contribution to Nature’s Sunshine’s successful history. Bryant Yates gave a speech of thanks to the directors and we presented them with commemorative diplomas.

Yes, all good things… our july meeting passed in the blink of an eye, but everything that happened during the event will leave a strong mark on our activities. The wonderful atmosphere and the enormous positive emotions will stay with us for a long time.
